SYNOPSIS
In Ruben Östlund’s wickedly funny social hierarchy is turned upside down, revealing the tawdry relationship between power and beauty. Celebrity model couple, Carl (Harris Dickinson) and Yaya (Charlbi Dean), are invited on a luxury cruise for the uber-rich, helmed by an unhinged boat captain (Woody Harrelson). What first appeared instagrammable ended catastrophically.

BIOGRAPHY
Studied film at the University of Gothenburg. His work is best described as humorous and an accurate observation of human social behaviour, film blended with sociology. In Östlund's darkly funny movies, modern life takes shape as a series of simultaneously devastating and absurd crises. His deconstractions of ego and privilege are elegant provocations, designed in his own words, "make the audience take a moral stand on its own". Triangle of Sadness is his sixth feature film. Force Majeure (2014) and The Square (2017) were Latin American premieres at the José Ignacio International Film Festival.
