SYNOPSIS
This film follows Lucius Glantz (Willem Dafoe), the longtime manager of a prestigious Vienna hotel whose world is thrown into disarray when corporate reshuffling, unexpected visitors, and shifting loyalties threaten everything he’s built. As he struggles to protect the hotel’s legacy, Lucius is drawn into a turbulent personal journey that tests his resilience, relationships, and sense of identity, ultimately leading to transformative change he never expected.
BIOGRAPHY
Gastón Solnicki, an Argentine director and producer born in 1978, is a prominent figure in contemporary cinema, with a body of work that spans from intimate documentaries to singular fiction films. Trained in photography and film at the ICP and NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, he debuted with the documentary Süden (2008) and gained international recognition with Papirosen (2012), and especially with Kékszakállú (2016), winner of the FIPRESCI Award in Venice. His films, showcased at festivals such as Toronto, Rotterdam, the Viennale, and the New York Film Festival, solidified his global presence and led him to serve on juries at prestigious events. With A Little Love Package (2022), awarded at BAFICI, he reaffirmed his artistic maturity. Recently, his entire filmography was acquired by MoMA, confirming his significance in world cinema.
