SYNOPSIS
Set on an island off the west coast of Ireland, THE BANSHEES OF INISHERIN follows two lifelong friends, Padraic (Colin Farrell) and Colm (Brendan Gleeson), who find themselves at an impasse when Colm unexpectedly decides to end their friendship. Confused, with his sister’s support, Siobhan (Kerry Condon) and troubled young Dominic (Barry Keoghan), Padraic struggles to mend their relationship, refusing to take no for an answer. But his repeated efforts only strengthen his former friend's decision. When Colm gives him an ultimatum, events quickly escalate, with shocking consequences.

BIOGRAPHY
Martin McDonagh was born in London in 1970. He is a director, screenwriter and playwright. He directed, among others, In Bruges (2008), Seven Psychopaths (2012) and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017), nominated in seven categories at the 2018 Academy Awards. He has built an impressive body of work with projects that show his ability for black humor and his particular vision of humanity.
